Nagado-taiko is one of the most common taikos and in Japan, they build it by carving out one large piece of wood which take them a long time to make and also make them really expensive. In America, we build Nagado-taikos from wine barrels instead of a single piece of wood. By using wine barrels to make taikos, the prices can be kept low for easier purchase. I put my heart and soul in this process to make strong and beautiful taikos with great sound. 長胴太鼓は一般的な太鼓で，大木をくりぬいて作られる日本の長胴太鼓は製作にも時間がかかり、高価格です。それに比べ、昔からアメリカではワイン樽を利用することによって安価で気楽に購入できるものが作られてきました。私はより強く、美しくまたより良い音の出る樽太鼓を目指して、少しでも多くの方々に利用していただけるように精魂込めて作っております。 |
